Revamp Your Facial Routine in 2019
Skin exfoliation is one of the most important aspects of your home skincare routine. Exfoliation is the removal of dry/dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Resurfacing on a regular basis improves skin health and gets rid of fine lines and wrinkles. It can also help with skin scarred by acne or damaged by sun or chemicals. Exfoliation also increases blood circulation, which in turn gives you younger, glowing skin.
There are 2 types of exfoliates that can be used at home. Both methods work very well and can be used a twice a week.
Physical Exfoliant
Derma MD Exfoliant MicroPeel is a proprietary formulation containing aluminum oxide crystals and anti-aging ingredients to work to exfoliate dead skin cells. Much like a series of microdermabrasion without the expense – also referred to as “Microderm in a bottle” This gentle exfoliation will allow better penetration of skincare with no irritation or down time. Skin is left smooth, silky and vibrant. Excellent for body as well. Keep this in your shower!!
Enzyme Exfoliant
Derma MD Avocado Pumpkin Mask will allow your face to exfoliate dead skin cells NATURALLY with gentle enzymes of pumpkin. Unlike strong acids, the combination of pumpkin with avocado, leaves skin looking younger and hydrated. Now you can have that professional mask right in your own home, without the expense. Can be used twice a week.
Aftercare for Exfoliated Skin
Because you have increased blood circulation, breaking down toxins and encouraging new skin cells to come through, it is very important to drink lots of water which drains the toxins and helps keep the new skin cells hydrated from the inside. Also very important to apply a peptide/antioxidant rich moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated from the outside!! If you are going to be in the sun use an SPF. Newly exfoliated skin is very sensitive to harmful UV rays.
