HOW TO SAVE YOUR SKIN FROM HARSH WINTER CONDITIONS – STEP #3 Protect

HOW TO SAVE YOUR SKIN FROM HARSH WINTER CONDITIONS

In Steps #1 & #2 you learned how important it was to exfoliate your skin in the winter months & keep it hydrated.  Now that you have newly exfoliated/hydrated skin we need to Protect DAILY.

STEP #3 - PROTECT

Sunscreen should be used for all seasons.  Just because you are not feeling the heat from the sun doesn’t mean that the sun’s harmful UV rays are not damaging your skin.  The sun plays a significant role in damaging and aging the skin. It also causes dryness in an already dry season.

You may have packed your bathing suit and shorts away but that doesn’t mean you should pack away your sunscreen.  Consider maybe switching to a moisturizing sunscreen for the winter months such as Derma MD Moisturizing Ultra Shield SPF 30.  This will not only PROTECT your skin but also help keep it hydrated.

For those sports enthusiasts in the winter it becomes even more important to use a sunscreen.  The harmful UV rays reflect off the snow causing severe sun burns & sun damage. Also for those skiers you need to understand that you are exposed to even greater danger if you spent time at high elevation.  At high elevation, those UV rays can have easy access to the skin, because there is less atmosphere to offer protection. So skiers, snowboarders, and snowshoe-ers should beware.

Derma MD Ultra Shield SPF 30 is designed to protect the skin from the sun's damaging UVA/UVB rays.  It also effectively moisturizes the skin and is excellent for sensitive skin. This moisturizer combines the stable & reflective properties of Zinc Oxide with natural UV diluting qualities of Octyl Methoxycinnamate for broad spectrum coverage. This product can be applied under makeup as a barrier.
