SKIN FASTING – Back to the Basics
We have all heard of body Cleanses and Fasting – it is time to do the same with our skin. Summer is a great time to do this. Over the years ladies have been mesmerized by all the anti-aging products and ingredients. Your cabinets are full of them as you have bought every product that promised a miracle. The sad truth is there is no miracle creams. Skincare like anything else needs to be used correctly and on a regular basis to get results over a period of time. It’s like going on a diet and expecting to lose 10 lbs in one day. It just doesn’t happen. Your skin can get overloaded with active ingredients and over time become sensitive if over using or using too many active ingredients at once.
All the serums, masks & eye creams won’t count unless you get back down to the basics. Consider this FASTING for the skin. You need to have healthy skin for all these products to be effective. So it is time to get back to the basics. Use a good Cleanser, Daytime moisturizer with SPF & Night time moisturizer with antioxidants. Also a good addition is an exfoliant. An exfoliant whether it be a scrub or a masque are necessary to maintain healthy skin. Exfoliants are designed to get rid of the dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. This will allow oxygen to enter the pores and keep them healthy and clean. Exfoliants also minimize dark spots and get rid of the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles instantly!!

Enzyme Cleanser – use twice daily
Ultra-Shield Daytime Moisturizer SPF 30 – use am
Copper Moisturizer with Peptides and Antioxidants – use pm
Exfoliating Micro Peel Scrub – use 2 – 3 times a week
OR
Avocado Pumpkin Mask – use 2 – 3 times a week.

This is a great time to clean out those cabinets and throw out any product that is more than a year old. Also throw out any drug store bought product unless you know that it contains the minimum percentages of active ingredients.
After you have completed your Skin FAST – you can gradually start adding products. Add each product one by one and pay close attention to your skin to see how your skin appears with each addition. Remember not to over load your skin with too many products in one day. Alternate products from one day to the next if necessary.
