CAN YOU DOUBLE CLEANSE WITH THE SAME CLEANSER?
Double cleansing is exactly what it sounds like – Cleansing the skin twice and one of the best things you can do for your skin. Typically, this technique is done with an oil or micellar water first and then a traditional cleanser. However, it doesn’t have to be 2 different cleansers. Turns out you can double cleanse with the same cleanser.
The first cleanse will help to lift dirt off the top layer of the skin, so to breakdown makeup, sunscreen, and daily buildup. The second cleanse will help to wash it all away.
Derma MD Enzyme Cleanser is excellent for double cleansing since you can use it to remove eye makeup as well as makeup and debris with your first cleanse. This is great for a few reasons: you don’t have to tote 2 cleansers with you and since the Enzyme Cleanser is gentle it will not dry out your skin but leave you with a very clean face.
If you have oily or acne prone skin it is recommended that you use the Enzyme Cleanser for the first cleanse to remove makeup, dirt & debris. For the second cleanse use Wasabi Anti-Acne Cleanser to get rid of any bacteria that may be caught in the pores. This cleanse will open and clean out the pores to lessen breakouts.
Double cleansing should never cause skin tightness, rashes, irritation, or breakouts. To prevent over-washing and its adverse effects on the skin, it is crucial to use the correct products based on your skin type. Know that double cleansing, like all skin care routines, is not one-size-fits-all, so each individual may have different practices for best cleansing their skin.
